Issue #19317 has been updated by zverok (Victor Shepelev). @noraj I believe the important point here is that [there are many](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkic_languages#Members) **turkic** languages, and as far as I understand, more than two of them use "dotless i". At least Crimean Tatar (with Latin alphabet) definitely does. [Wikipedia lists](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dotless_I) more active languages using the letter, so in the proposed API, all of them should be accounted for?..
